Now, my new HTPC Nano-Box contains so much free capacity even when executing all its multimedia tasks of a HTPC that it would be a pity not to unleash its full potential. Excellent hardware together with brilliant Linux Mint 12 makes it possible to configure a filtering wireless gateway to improve the home network security compared to the services provided by the ISP’s modem/router box. We need to select and configure the following components:

1. Wireless Access Point
2. DNS Proxy
3. DHCP
4. Gateway/Firewall
5. HTTP Proxy
6. Content/List based HTTP filtering
